Purpose
The Certification in Parish Leadership program aims to equip Catholics to effectively assist their pastors in managing a vibrant parish. Designed by leadership experts with both Church and corporate experience, the certification provides well-rounded and practical content in a cohort learning environment.

Time Commitment
Sessions take place four Saturdays per year for three years. Sessions are generally from 9 AM to 12 PM. 

Qualifications to Join
Participants in this program are to be identified and selected by pastors in the dioceses of Paterson, Metuchen and the Archdiocese of Newark. Priests, deacons, and lay people may also request the sponsorship of their pastor.

Cost
Tuition is $250 per year, which can be paid for by the participant or his/her parish. There is no cost for students enrolled in the Certificate in Catholic Evangelization.

The Certificate
Upon completion of the coursework, participants will receive both a certificate and a commissioning by Bishop Kevin Sweeney.
